Fused multi-colored glass with polished edges on a steel compression stand.  "The bright transparent red-orange embedded in black opalescent glass at the top and bottom of this pillar represent the emergence of the day from night,  This embraces the rainbow of light, the energy and diversity of life.  Since completing this sculpture I have kept it beside me on my desk to remind me of that joy."
